Candy Cane coral question

Hi, new to saltwater. I bought a candy cane coral from a LFS. It's bright green and I'm trying to ID it. Is there a difference between green, neon green, or "kryptonite" candy cane coral? Not sure if people are giving different names to the same coral.

Wouldn’t ever dip in ro. Peroxide is more for algae, and dip is for pests. I’d narrow down what you are treating before doing all these things. If extremely concerned about stuff, maybe look into a qt tank.

a lot of the "different names" are marketing from different retailers. If it looks similar, its probably exactly the same. Sometimes depending on params of the system you can get some slight variances out of it.

As far as dipping I second what was said above, don't go overkill on the dips. Imo the best dip for everything is Bayer, I have been in the hobby for 20 years and see every pest lol. Its the only thing that works reliably and doesn't harm the corals. I think only lowes has it now as home depot stopped carrying it. Coral RX is another decent dip but i have had some experiences where it was to aggressive on the corals and also doesn't kill everything unless multiple treatments ( especially euphyllia eating flatworms)

Thanks, I'll look into Bayer. Been having a lot problems with digitate hydroids ever since it came with a frag. I don't want to add any more pest to my tank.
