that water change out tank is genious...i'm gonna use that in my sump set up thanks.:top:
Id be honored!!. Bending acrylic is pretty easy, just gotta be carefull that the bends are precisely 90 deg. I did mine on the edge of my work bench, but next time I will build a basic box to the size of the wanted tank, clamp the sheet on top of it (right next to each bend), carefully heat the bends until the sheet starts to drop down the side. Once it fully lays down clamp it again on the side of the bend to end up with a perfectly square and straight corner bend.
After you make the two bends which comprised the 2 sides and front, you have to make sure that the seating edge at the bend is perfect. I had to trim down that edge just a hair using a laminate trimmer (palm router w/ bearing flush bit) . Sat the whole thing on a rough cut bottom sheet, glued it with weldon 4 or 14 (i forget), same thing for the top, and then the back. After that I used the laminate trimmer again to trim it all down to perfect edges.
