Cat proofing a nano tank

I have a 5 month old kitten who has a fascination with my tank and he has already snapped the mounting arm to my light and is starting to make a hole in the screen mesh lid. I was wondering if anyone had any tips or any suggestions on sturdy mounting arms for lights that would be very much appreciated btw it’s a 10 gallon innovative marine tank.

You could use the gooseneck style mounts it would be pretty hard for it to climb on that and I’d it did it would flex as opposed to break. That’s assuming you have a light compatible with that style of mount.

You could also train that cat that your tank is odd limits. Better to nip that behavior in bud.
