Hi. I recently bought this macro algae from the LFS and I think its Caulerpa. Can anyone verify this? Also after a couple of days some tips of the leaves started to turn transparent. Can anyone explain this to me?

P.S. I know its illegal in California

Thanks!

I have the saw tooth type and it too turns clear on the ends. I couldn't get an answer either so just let it be. I like that big leaf stuff.

haha. Thanks for the response guys. From my google research I hear they only do that if:

a) It is growing.
b) It is recovering from being torn apart and placed on a new tank.

I just hope it doesnt go gay on me. I have my lights 24/7.

it could be tryin to melt, but if you do the 24/7 lights that should stop it.
I know Tax went illegal awhile back, but the "authoriteh" couldn't ID species very well, so they went ahead and banned all of it. I was in the trade when that happened, if some species have been taken off the list that'd be awesome.
