This was my original tank.

I had it for about 5yrs and traded some corals for this tank. 125g tall, w/built in overflow on the side.

Needed some work as one of the viewing sides was painted.

I used various sizes of sand paper till I was able to polish it clear.

Then I built the stand from watching a youtube video.

Sump is a 29 gallon tank. 2 sections, fuge/scrubber and heater/return pump.

I got everything plumbed in. Overflow had 2 holes. Main hole is the drain with a valve, 2nd hole is emergency drain. Quietest setup I have found.

I also added a manifold for my scrubber and any future reactor.

And plumbed in my chiller which I also made fit in the stand.

I have had this tank running since Feb of this year, but just finished the Canopy.
This is how my tank sits as of today...

My goal with this tank is to be as hands off as possible and on a tight budget.
-I have an auto feeder thats feeds flake/pellets 4x a day. I also feed nori daily and occasionally frozen mysis.
-I refill my 5g ATO reservoir once a week.
-I add Kalk to my top off water.
-I only changed water in the first few months. Haven’t done one since.
-I use an InkBird Temp controller that turns on my heater and fans as needed.
-clean viewing areas twice a week.
-clean off algae scubbers every 3mo.
-no filter sock, no skimmer, no quarantine.

Here are some pics of the livestock I have been keeping. Mainly lps/softies. Most corals are from my old 55g that I just spread around. I have also bought and traded for a few more!

Here is my 5g ATO, chiller, and the InkBird Temp controller. Mounted above this is my UPS power supply that will power the powerheads in my Display in case of a power outage.

I also plan on adding fish that may try and escape so I installed a net cover.

So satisfying to extract this Gall Crab out of my Elegance Coral. He has been in there since I had the Elegance but was scared to get him out. Hope the Elegance survives...

I got him out by pressing my finger deep into the Coral skeleton and feeling him move. I kept pressure on the crab till it decided to crawl out. Then I just picked him out with a toothpick.

Added some gifts I received for Christmas! In order to do this, I had to remove my chiller. This past summer, my chiller never turned on. The fans controlled by an InkBird Temp controller was enough to keep temps below 80.

Avast K1 Kalk Stirrer. Feed by my ATO.

I also squeezed an Aquamaxx HOB skimmer in my sump. I have it recirculating being fed from my manifold/return pump.

No changes to the scrubber/fuge side other than cleaning the screens.
