My momma always tell me "If ain't broke...Don't fix it".
From my experience, I found that servicing chiller is NOT cost effective. It's expensive to service the chiller and re-charge the freon. It may cost $ 100+ just depending where you go. Technician fee and freon is expensive.
JBJ Chiller usually last a very long time. I have one that I bought used for 5 years and still going.

Well i look at the other side of the coin on this. most chiller manufactures recommend serviceing ones cooler at least once a year...twice a year i take the covers off and blow with a air hose all of the dust out. keeps the radiator able to breath.
Calcuim build up inside a chiller is also a known problem that may reduce flow in the long run. jbj recommends runing it backwards through vinager water to break this down at least once a year. trick is to clean all of the vinager out before it goes back on the tank.
nothing wrong with checking ones calibration as well.
hope this helps you in keeping your chiller working at optimum levels for years to come.
Clean the condensor out periodically by blowing it out like "wishntoboutside" said, refrigerant in the system does not dicipate, the compressor and refrigerant is a closed loop system and should never need to be serviced unless there is a leak.
