Yea they are highly illegal. CA banned it about 20 years ago when I made its way to the coast. It grows so fast that it was out competing the natural macro algaes that are on the coast line.

Do you have a link that shows all the other strains that are illegal?

I think the link you sent is for the fern like one.

OP said grape macro but not sure which one (no pic). But I’ve seen ads on Facebook for some grape “seaweed” for sale as something to eat! Looked just like green grape caulerpa.

The one I have is like this, which isn't as bubbly as the one that is shown as illegal but I guess it seems that grape in general is not allowed
