Closet /sump room/equipment room

So my wife finally agreed to let me use the closet behind the tank to put my equipment… tank is currently running but got to cut some holes thorough the drywall and run plumping for a bigger sump that will sit in the closet was wondering if painting it with the same paint used in bathrooms would be enough for the humidity and mold or should I put an exhaust vent along with the paint ?

To be safe, you can use something like Sherwin William emerald or pro classic acrylic latex paint. They are more water resistant mold resistant and cleanup is much easier. If your closet is constantly closed, and vent fans is ideal. I bet you know how corrosive is saltwater. Btw, congrats on the wife approval!
