Okay so I know this might be a stupid question but I want to get everyone's opinion/experience on this would it be possible for me to have two pairs of clown fish in a 22g....I know they are very territorial

If you added all 4 as small individuals the two larger would become a pair and the other 2 would remain subordinate males. If you added 2 separate bonded pairs to a LARGE tank(100g+) they would each stay on their own sides of the tank. 22g is really small for 4 clowns.

I would say by the way they are behaving....Are they staying to together ? Are they fighting ? If they are staying together and not fighting, I would say you got lucky either they are a pair, or they are becoming a pair...

I got them two weeks apart and every now and then the orange one will attack the black one but then they'll go back to swimming together.

There the same size but the black one does twitch when attacked. The reason I want more clowns is because I want them to host my nems which the ones I have don't I figure if I put two juveniles in there they would host? Or would the current ones just kill them off?

Most likely they would kill them but u never know. When I first got my last pair of gsm it took them close to a year to host any one of the 4 nems I had in my last setup. Some times u need to give them time. Also r they tank raised or wild caught?

The thing is they hosted one for about an hour was super excited thought the day had finally come and then no contact or interest in any of the nems after that day.
