Common Names: Knob coral, velvet horn, branch coral

Difficulty Level: Hydnophora is one of the easier SPS corals with minimal chemical needs other than stability and higher light.

Feeding: Hydno will eat small particulate meat based foods such as rotifers or cyclopeze.

Lighting: Higher lighting is a must as with most SPS corals.

Waterflow: Strong random current will suite hydnophora in keeping its flesh clear of detritus and other debris.

Placement: Hydno is an aggressive SPS coral, so keep it away from other more sensitive species.

General: Hydnophora comes in many different growth forms, but with the same super-fluorescent coloration on most, they are easy to pick out

Not according to Live Aquaria, Tidal Gardens, Vivid Aquariums, Melevs Reef, or anyone else on the first page of Google other than Wikipedia. You could make a case for it being LPS or SPS, but I still tend to classify it as SPS personally.
