Hi All,

First time post.

Could anyone tell me if this is Coraline algae? Its hard to the touch and not slimy. Could it be anything else? Just above the mushroom on the rock.

Thanks in advance

From the appearance it looks slimy and has bubble around it most likely it's looking dark red because of phosphate I'd recommend you test for any silicate in your water chemistry.

If you can rub it off with your fingers, its more then likely red cyano, Coraline is tough and will need to be scraped off pretty hard.
