PSA!!

Remember to dip! If you didn’t be aware!

The one vendor that gave me a frogspawn with flatworms ended up giving me a zoa spider hitchhiked on either a shroom or acan plug.

Not gonna put anyone on blast. But despite the quality of corals, sometimes hitchhikers emerge from eggs. (Seemed like a baby).

Also found eggs of some sort on a frag plug from another vendor. Looked similar to euphilia flatworm eggs but it was a zoa plug so IDK? :)

Psa would be to qt, not just dip. Dip will do nothing to eggs
You’re right. At least dip and scrape. Personally I QT all new livestock (corals and fish), but I take that for granted cause not everyone has an extra tank all ready to go for that purpose.

It’s an excuse to my wife to have a second system. But really it’s a small nano tank for leathers that can QT other corals. Run a lot of carbon and skim heavily so it’s ideal.

Even if there’s a pest a missed, there’s kinda like a fallow period.
