crocea tridacna clam

thinking about adding a crocea tridacna clam to my 75 gallon reef tank. any one have experience with these and any lfs in Orange or San Diego counties that have them? any thoughts?

They are easy to take care of. I got mine from amazing aquariums in the city of orange.

A good starter clam. Like most clams, they enjoy some good lighting. Do place them in a secure area where it can anchor its foot. At times, if they can’t anchor onto a solid rock, they will hop out of where you placed it & land somewhere not so pleasant for the clam. Don’t worry, it’s normal & nothing unusual for clams. If you want it on the sand bed, placing some crushed rock under its foot will help it anchor & secure a permanent home. Good luck.

Try not to get them when they're too small as they are more reliant on filter feeding along with high light output.
