I want everyone input on how to keep/care for a CSB anemone. Focus is coloring up.: trying to have a all anemone tank. Currently have a xr30 radion g5 blue over my nano tank.

My Tank Build
#2
I would say it’s all about stability just like any sps tank but in all honesty I’ve never been able to keep one of the designer nems alive for more then a few months.

About 10y back I did a 180g all nem tank. I had all types of nems. A giant ritteri, 2 carpet nems, 30 something RBTAs, 3 true Fuji red rose nems(what people like to call black widows today), a few long tentacles, a half full of rock nems, and even a few sebae’s. All them thrived except for and of the dam CSB BTA. So I gave up on them years ago. I refuse to spend another penny on a CSB.

I’ve heard CSB should be in a tank by themselves and no other anemones. Maybe they don’t play nice with others? Otherwise it’s the same as all BTA , stable parameters, good light / flow. I feed all my nems just once a week small amount

I've never kept a CSB, but have also heard that they don't fare well with other anemones except for a few higher end/more expensive ones I think. I have a few different strains of RBTA and GBTA in my tank and they get along well. I think I have 15ish total. I feed mine 1-2x a week with mysis and just do my water changes biweekly and they're happy.

I rarely feed mine other than whatever small pieces they catch from Rods food or mysis in the tank.
I’d say the standard water parameters are totally fine for CSB. For reference mine are Alk 8.5 Cal 450 Mag 1300 Nitrate 4. Under around 200 PAR
I always run carbon as a rule.

I've got a CSB in my my tank with two gigantea anemones. I wouldn't let them touch, but I think it can be done for sure.
I always question whether mine is fully colored up or not. It's nice but I've seen pictures that are really crazy. I run a whiter spectrum, so maybe that plays a role in it.

here it is catching some natural light from my window

Just my 2 cents
I’ve kept a all anemone tank and it’s gets boring really fast unless you have several tanks but there’s nothing like a beautiful anemone swaying back and forth in the current

Like others have said, not a good idea to mix them with anything else. And if you are gonna try that gamble, better run lots of carbon. I’ve had success with them in the past but they always end up wandering into a bad place eventually for me 🤷🏻‍♂️

csb is pretty easy like any other anemone. I am running radions with reef brites and they do fine. Using ab+ template at 70%, feed them
mysis when I feed my fish.

Blast with light, feed. They are pretty hardy and are forgiving if your tank isn't stable from time to time. This rule only applies if you're tank is well established.

age without disturbing it , 2yrs or longer, and TLC is key to coloration. Some may color sooner but most will color later.
