Custom build referrals

Does anyone have any referrals they can provide for custom builds? I’m planning to build a new system at my house, but I want to have custom built in cabinetry for the wall where the tank would be. Not just cabinetry for the tank but the entire wall and tank. Wondering if there are any referrals for a contractor or company that can build the cabinetry?

Also, wondering who everyone thinks the best tank builder is right now? I’m thinking of glass cages but any recommendations otherwise would be great. Dims I’m thinking of are 84” x 30” x 30”

Glass cages for sure, they should be able to build a stand for you as well.

The 30” depth makes a huge difference- do you have room for a 36”?

No more CDA locally. I would guess it is glass cages or Acrylic & Glass Exhibits AGE (if that are still in business). As far as cabinetry, probably any competent cabinetry maker can do it and probably do it better.

We just installed a 84x24x24 from glass cages. Their cabinetry, tank, and sump were very well made.

Since you are in Anaheim, go talk with Ali at Amazing Aquariums LFS in Orange, CA. He also has a lot of connections and is very honest. Won't hurt to go visit the LFS and have a chat with him.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. Doing a few remodel things on the house so planning for this install right after. I’ll reach out to those who offered assistance asap and also talk to the man, the myth and the legend Ali!

Since you don't have the tank up yet, and are remodeling, if you can work in a floor drain and add a second circuit to the area the tank will be, your life will be much easier long term. You can plumb your sump to the floor drain, even like an overflow, so your sump can never overflow, and if you want to do a water change, just pump the new water in and the sump water will automatically level itself. It is 10x easier than any other way.

Two circuits with a return pump one one and a powerhead on one. If you blow a circuit, you won't lose the tank.

It is not hard to do if the remodel hasn't been built out yet.

Wish I had a drain to connect to in the area where the tank is going. There isn’t anything close so it would be quite a bit of saw cutting and trenching to get a floor drain in. Luckily the panel is right next to where I’ll be putting the tank so electrical is a slam dunk.
