Damian's 150g build!

First and foremost, I'd like to thank Aaron from the SPS Coral Store for giving me a great deal on my tank!

Specs

150g leemar 48x30x24 3-sided starphire glass
External overflow
38" Leemar Atlantis stand in expresso finish

I'm really stoked for this build! The stand is beautiful! And with the 30" dimensions, I'm hoping to get good depth with aquascaping.

Nick, sure. But it'll be a while. It's in Aarons storage. The stand is the LeeMar Atlantis stand. It's the nicest stand you can get from them.

For a skimmer, I have a Reef Octopus xs250 I got from the sidewalk sale. It's rated for 250g. Lighting I'm contemplating an ati t5/led hybrid. Not sure I wanna diy it... Sump I gotta figure out.

Got any return pump suggestions Nick?

Jump in on that group buy. Get the dc12000 return pump. Perfect pump for this setup and any future ones. If it's too much flow, just turn it down. I'm gunna run it on my new build. If it's not strong enough, I'll switch over to a 4200 Laguna. But I think I'll be happy.

For a return, look into the Jebao DC12000...there's a group buy for it right now but it ends on Monday.

On a tank that size, I'd go Laguna Max Flo 1500. If u wanna run a manifold, I'd go with a 2400 max Flo

Ok, so ya'll convinced me and I'm ordering two WP40's to provide flow to this tank. I was going to go with MP40's, but that's a crapload of money and if the WP40's can provide adequate flow, then why not? I'll put that money into lighting.

Right now, I'm doing some research on sumps. One thing I know is that I want an empty drain partition followed by two filter socks. I also want to run a fuge and add some probe holders where appropriate. My Reef Octopus XS250 runs at about 8-9.5" depth and has a footprint of 16.5" x 16". Any advice, guidelines or blue print to start building my sump?
