I know this has been done but just doing it with my twist.
I’m using push bottom toggle ports like this

They cost about $1.50 in eBay for a 2 pack. I bought 8 cause I’m making 4 BOBs
Then got a 6’ mini DIN 8 cable off Amazon for about $10 for 2 cables. Cutting them in half to make 3’ cables for the BOBs.
Then I’m using some old scraps of acrylic to make the box. I just going to route out the holes for the cables.

This piece of acrylic has 2 BOBs marked out on them.
So here’s the BOBs after I wired up the mini din cables

When I get a chance to breakout the router I’ll cut acrylic plates.
But until then this is as far as I’ve got

Awesome!

normally I point out that the Neptune unit isn’t expensive enough to warrant all the time put into making one but yours is so much nicer than the Neptune BOB that is’s well worth it.

Yea. I know. I thought about that too. So I bought enough components to make 4 BOBs. It cost a little less then $20 in all the hardware to build 4 units. At this point I maybe have 2 hours time invested in making 4 units. All I have left to do is water sand the acrylic, mount the push pin terminals and fill the the back of the electrical section with electrical rubber sealant. In all maybe 3 hours of time to build 4 BOBs. The main reason I decided to build my own is cause the Neptune BOB is flawed. Seriously have you tried putting 6 negative lines in one terminal that is the same size as the positive terminal that holds 1 wire. That shit is a pain in the ass.
