I recently purchased a 6x2x2 lemar tank and am trying to figure out how to mount my 4 radions. I do not want to drill any holes into my walls so I'm exploring options here...

I am thinking of running 3 8' 2x4s up the back of the stand and building off of that but I'm curious of other options.

Thanks in advance for all the help. Been getting a lot of it lately.

Like Goober mentioned I recommend going steel or aluminum for both aesthetics and durability. Wood without proper bracing will eventually warp and twist over time and around humidity.

I meant as far as material for the mount. I guess other than wood I'm not too familiar with building materials. Do you make these out of conduit or what do you suggest?

Thanks again

I do welding so maybe you can find a place close to you that'll make it cheap enough. You can probably do 3 separate L shaped legs and hide the radion wires inside. 18g or 1/16 mild steal should do the trick

I built a hanging contraption out of extruded aluminum.

Functionally it worked well but If I were to do it over again I think it would look much better if instead of having the legs resting on the rim of the tank I would attach L shape beams to the back of the tank. But in my case the tank was already up and didn't have access to the back. An added benefit of the extruded aluminum is that they have channels in them making it very simple to hide cords.

cadlights makes a set of stainless steel mounts if you don't want to completely DIY it. Comes with mounting brackets that bolt into the stand.
