Does anyone here own a larger IM tank? If not, anyone seen one in person?

I'm wondering how the quality is. I'm assuming it's on par with and SCA or other Chinese manufactured tank? I've been day dreaming about doing a slight upgrade so I can house more tangs for algae control, probably sometime next year or later. The price looks great and the 48x36" footprint of the lagoon 150 would be awesome. The glassed in ext overflow would kill some of the external box woes. Just not sure on quality as I haven't seen one in person.

i've never seen a really big one, but i like my 100g one. kinda wish i went for the 150g, that 48x36 footprint would be so nice

i had a 50g sca tank before and i'd say it's quite a bit better made than those

That’s what I’m thinking too and it’s still shallow which is pretty cool. I like that they come with a screen top also.

I gotta check you build thread. Did you use their stand?

I have the 150 int and also using their aluminum stand.

Pretty happy with the tank overall. The build quality def seems better than a cadlights type tank. No bubbles and straight silicone seams in viewable panels. I only had one issue with some minor uneven siliconing but it was in the eurobrace where it wasn’t visible.

the stand is easy to assemble and seems very strong. I would not hesitate to use again.

I would say its on par with the higher end mass manufactured tanks like red sea. I just wish they had armored seams like how red sea has on its bigger tanks.

yeah i used their stand. i like it. i'm ignorant to the engineering/mechincal world so it concerned me greatly the stand itself was easily movable by myself, it's that light. but alas 8 months or so later it's holding the tank up great :D

the door situation is kinda dumb, but apparently they've added doors to each end of their stands now, so that's cool

fyi mine didn't come with a screen top, idk if that's a new thing?

oh looks like they include one now, that's cool. damn i bought at the wrong time, no end doors and had to make my own crappy screen top lol. they did hook it up with the shelf thing tho, that thing is great

i won't lie part of me already has the spot in mind for the 170. it would fit a 5' tank perfect and if it stuck way out it'd be ok. but new tank is my least favorite thing, so i'm gonna try to keep my current one for a few years

I would put them at the top of all the mass made tanks. The other builders including waterbox are not as good.
That's great to hear, specially at the price point. I know I got a few other quotes for about a 800-1k over that for customs, but a little taller dimensions.

Hahah it is tough, the ability to keep some of the larger algae eating fish is hard to beat. This tank has gotten packed with both algae and frags really fast!

The screens are a bonus, the kits look really nice with the feeding door option too.
