You'll see improvements with the shine for sure. Correcting trace elements have unlocked dormant pieces for me in past systems. The fluorescence is gonna get real nice with the daily manganese too.
I'm excited to see what happens, are you currently running this method? I think you said that you had in the past.

It's been some time since I made an update. I finally found some time to set up the my calcium reactor. I just got it up and running and about to start dialing it in. I'm not really sure how I'm going to ween off of the two part and make the switch to the CARX but I'll just go slow. Since I plan to keep dosing the same amount of kalk, it hopefully shouldn't be too difficult. Here's a shot of my dosing system in the mop cabinet in the garage behind the tank.

Everything for the most part is looking good. I'm starting to think that I have too many purple acros in the tank which just blend in with the rock. I might get rid of a few purple colonies to add some frags with a little more pop. It looked to me like I was lacking a little bit in green/yellow so I picked up a green acro (A-Z nuclear fusion something-er-other) from RAP and a sunset milli from Sold4jc.

Agree 100%, send those purple pieces over this way. They'll pop against all my brown coral hahahah.

Looking amazing man, well done. Very clean calcium reactor set up. How is the noise of your kameor? Did you fabricate that bracket yourself?

I'm very tempted to try kalk on my system. Not sure why it spooks me so bad.

They're all yours if you want them. I'll probably get rid of the Rainbow Granulosa and Aussie gold colonies and hack down the tanzanite terror to a more manageable size

Thank you very much. The kameor is a little louder than expected, but it's probably half due to the metal bracket that its up against. It doesn't bother me too much because its in the garage, but I'll probably end up lining the bracket with some rubber or fabric. The kameor bracket is just two 4" 90 degree corner brackets that I got from home depot.

Its funny you say that because I am so comfortable with dosing kalk, while integrating this reactor has me spooked. I like my current system of dosing kalk and then supplementing with two part, but I'm starting to go through the two part way too quickly and it's not sustainable. It seems like every week I have to increase at least 10mls of each. I'm hoping that once everything is tuned in with the calcium reactor, I'll only have to mix my weekly batch of kalk and that will be it.

I took some top-down photos tonight, they seem to be the only pictures I can take that turn out halfway decent.

I'm amazed by how much my dersea clam has grown. In about 4 months its mantle has grown an inch. The arrow in the picture shows how big the clam was when I got it.

I have three torts whose growth was pretty stagnate until recently. I really like their coralites and growth structures.

ASD sweet tort- the slimer and tort are starting to intertwine with each other which looks pretty cool

Looking great! Yeah, derasa clams can double in size within a year when they are that small, definitely fast growers in the clam world. They're the second largest species, so there's more to go!

tank looks great, growing super well. I like that shot with the channel, torches and sps overhead.
