Icecap is working good but with a heavy stock 22g with SPS i need to clean the skimmer cup at least every 3 days. Wish I could add a swabbie to it.

Tank is finally getting dialed in slowly. Possibly will be upgrading my tank stand to fit a larger sump. Trying to maximize water volume for stability. My AI hydra 26 HD is on its going on its third week on acclimation mode at 45% intensity. I tried to mimic the radion AB+ settings.

I've been dosing Vibrant twice a week and 5 drops of MB7 at night when my pumps shut off for 30mins for feed mode. I feed reef roids the night before water change day. I am dosing 5 mL Cal everyday and 5mL Alk every other day and 10mL Mag after water change.

So far tank went down hill. Not from neglect but from bad test kits. My Salifert Calcium and Mag a little over a year old. kit was reading low so I kept dosing my tank and yet after dosing and testing frequently I saw my parameters only bumped up a few ppm. I bought a new Calcium and Mag test kit and long and behold. My levels are beyond high. Only thing I'll do is just wait it out till it gets consume and hope for the best of my corals to pull through. My corals are looking very pastel and barely have any PE. I will continue doing my normal 5g water change once a week and stop the dosing besides my ALK which is only 5mL a week. So far only lost one tiny SPS frag which was my SOF.

Been losing the battle with my reef keeping and not from neglect but from my toddler son. Wish my custom tank cover from artfully acrylic will come any day now. My son manage to reach and get his hands on whatever he finds and dump it inside my tank to see if it floats or sinks. I really lost the battle to a bad cloudy tank when he decided to dump my dog's food in the tank too. Even after a 50% water change my tank was still cloudy. I ended up loosing my ASD milli, red dragon, tri-color valida, strawberry shortcake and sapphire milli. :(

Here's what I found today going home from work.

Received my artfully acrylic lid for my tank. Not really happy with it. For the price I paid I expected it to be better made. The lid basically look like it went directly from the machine to the shipping box. Had lots of shavings that where not remove. Wish they at least polish the edges too. Anyways
Here's a pic from my vacation trip

One of Waikiki's aquarium reef tanks. Super motivation.

My auto shut off valve on my spectra pure rodi went bad. Ended up killing my membranes :( now I have to fork out $200 on new filters and membranes. My TDS went from reading 2 TDS to 98 TDS right before the DI. Also my dam water bill jumped $100 too. Going to add a valve on the water tap line now.

took my housing and propeller from my dead Tunze 6095 motor block and use it on my 6055 motor block on my nano tank. That wide flow is awesome!

Today's FTS after water change. Finally getting good PE and color back. Keeping it simple with bi-weekly 5g water change with instant ocean saltmix . Only dosing 5mL MB7 and 1 drop of lugols a week.

I’ve lost 80% of my sps that I notice started with losing tissue on the base to browning out then bleaching. I’ve kept my tank minimum to 5g water change once a month and only dose MB7 once a week. Still was getting heavy green slime algae even with weekly carbon dosing.

I’ve lost the battle with a rusted magnet that holds my temp and pH probe :(

After removing the magnet and doing a 5g water change

It’s been a while since I’ve last posted. Not as active but I still have my tank. I no longer test my water. But try to do 10g water changes every 3 months or so and cleaned my skimmer every other month. So far i have not lost any corals or added.

I haven’t been active but I still have my tank. Sad to see lots of dream tanks I followed here break down their tanks. So far it’s been over a year since I’ve tested my water and do a 5g water change every 3 months I think. Tank is doing well and have not loss any live stock. Only equipment failure I had was my k2 slimmer pump died. Coralvue replaced it under warranty.

The tank is doing great. No water changes. No filter socks and no water testing. Only thing I should of done is to prevent the Monti to grow onto the glass lol.
