Bought two units and one is cold to the touch, both on the same side side of the tank and running the same programming. I reached out to EcoTech support and this is their response.
Any thoughts 💭??

We typically design to have all devices stay below 60C (which is 140F), 120F is closer to 50C, so that is well within the normal operation. 140F sounds like it's very hot, but it's well below flashpoints for cotton and paper (the temperature that a fire would start), its below the temperature that would actually burn skin, and many other products that other companies make that utilize motors use this type of temperature as acceptable. It may not be comfortable to hold onto for a long time, but it's safe and the motor is designed to operate at over 250F (125C), so it's not a problem.
