Sorry I missed you post.

So 3 type of UV 10 of 380nm, 10 of 405, and 10 of 420nm. The UV will be on there own channel. The apex 0-10v ports will control the dimming on all 4 LED channels. There’s 30 white LEDs on one channel so 90w of white. 30 blue on another so 90w of blue. 30 of royal blue so 90w of RB. Then 30 of UV another 90w of LEDs. So that’s 360w of LEDs on the rails running along the side of three gen1 radions. I was already running the rails on the 150. But I’m now adding the UV to the lighting.
I’m going to be using this to control the LEDs

Currently I’m using meanwell dimmable drivers but they keep flashing for some reason.
Dude that’s awesome. Super curious to how this goes. I paid 400 bucks for two strips but no where near as many leds

My lighting fixture was originally a full setup. It had 7 strips of LEDs. Each strip has 18 3w Crees on it. I got it from a buddy that bought it with a tank. It even had it own controller.

I even tried to give it away

The controller didn’t work and the rats in my buddies shed murdered the wiring. He had also given me a few meanwell ballasts that also came with a tank he bought. Well I ended up reusing it. But I did take out 2 strips cause the meanwell weren’t strong enough. Well then I noticed how a lot of add on strips have a lot of uv in them. So I ordered the led pucks and the new dimmable relay switches and thought eff let’s try it. I have a few extra radion ballasts. They will power the relay switches. So when it’s all said and done I should be putting somewhere around 650w (if I ran the lights at full power) of LEDs in to the water.

Got a few more things done on Monday and Tuesday

Monday I measured the plumbing and finalized how I wanted the drain and return lines.
I also made to 0-10v cables that will run to the dimmer controllers.
Here’s the plugs that will plug into the apex 0-10v ports

I also mounted the magnetic door latch that will hold the controller board in place

Here’s what it looks like with the board in place. Still need to mount the rest of the items once I get the stand in place.

Yesterday I took apart the light to get ready for paint.

In the morning I’m going to sand the stain off and throw a few coats of white on it.
I’m waiting on a new soldering iron. My cheep little weller couldn’t get hot enough to solder the wires to the LED pucks.
Here’s the driver that will be powering half of the LED rails. I have a few of these drivers. I’ll be using 2 to drive the rails.

This is the dimmable driver that will allow the apex to control the LED rails.

Nice work! I really dig the new color for the apex gear. Gray and orange has to be the ugliest combo, plus it looks so cheap, but your combo improves it 1000x. Can’t wait to see the finished light rack!

Got everything swapped over today. The tank is way cloudy right now

Got the control panel done

And for a little bit of wow I added some accent lighting.

Tonight I’m going to try to get some work done in the lights.
Then got the living room picked up

Break down
Tank 187g Lee-Mar (60”X30”X24”) 3 sided starphire custom rebuilt with external overflow, double bottom brace, and ultra slim eurobrace (that’s right I said ultra, I’ve yet to find a tank of this size with such a slim eurobrace, so I’m calling it ultra!)
Stand, custom made of 1.5” tube steel (61.5”X32”X36”), leveling feet. Skinned with pal plywood and painted white. Acrylic bottom for easy clean up.
Sump is a trigger triton44. 18g refugium, 11.5”X15.5” skimmer section, 6”X15.5 return section. Refugium lite by a max spect ethereal.
Skimmer is an iTech200 with carbon lid, manual neck cleaner, and upgraded DC pump.
Return is a eco tech vectra M1
Lighting is three gen1 radions and a dyi 300w LED panel. Radions controlled by apex via WXM and the panel is controlled by the 0-10v ports on the apex.
Circulation pumps, three AI Nero5’s on the back wall facing forward running on different wave patterns throughout the day. Then two ice cap 4K gyres. These are also mounted on the back wall, vertically. They are mounted so that the pumps pull water from the front and push the water across the back wall of the tank. They create vertical gyres that compete across the back. I’m hoping this will push the water from back to front making it so that the corals get good growth.
I’m running a large calcium reactor that I made from an old chaeto reactor that had broke. This will do most my supplementing.
Controller is an apex 2016wifi with two eb832s.
