Went out yesterday and picked you a few of the wife’s favorite fish.
She’s been wanting another purple tang sense I gave her last one to a friend.

She also got 5 Anthis that she loves the colors on. 2 are currently MIA. One I know is in overflow, but I’m thinking both are in overflow.

Anyone have tricks to get a fish out of overflow box? I’m thinking of just pulling the pipe and draining the overflow then putting pipe back after fish goes through 2” drain.

So I switched back to the I-Tech200 skimmer yesterday

I just couldn’t see the BK performing as good as the I-tech. The picture above is from 2 hours of skimming after switching back.
With the little bit of extra time I had, I modified my I-tech to a drain line. Here is the old outlet on the itech.

I had to use the pipe from the BK cause my husky chewed up the original tube.
So I cut the old drain line off and added a sch80 T. I cut off 2 sides of the T and sanded the ends down and smithed them out. Bought a new sch80 1.25” tube for an adjustment valve. I was able to find a 1” and 3/16s tube that fit perfectly inside the the T. The 1 3/16” line is used for the adjustment valve. Like this

Here’s how the drain line looks now

I’m very impressed with how well the skimmer works with the dc pump now.

So wife thought it would be a good idea to toss the carpet into the sump, sense it keeps eating her fish she tells me.

Nothing much to update. Just trying to keep things clean and neat

Also spent a good part of Monday cleaning up the birds nest of wires behind the stand.

Ended up buying a apex classic and installing it today.

Next weekend chore is automating my ro/di so I don’t have to turn a valve to make water.

I’m sure it’s awesome, but at the current state of events he’s not hosting. I viewed his web site and said what I was interested in and he replied with what was available and we went from there. Just drove to his house and picked up curb side.
