How is it when something is going to go wrong it’s always when your not home! I had to stay out of town for the night. So earlier today I got a notification from fusion that the tank was at 81.1 degrees. I called to wife and asked “Is it hot af at home?” She said it was like 75 with a nice breeze. I’m thinking wtf. So I start looking into any issues on the fusion dashboard. I noticed the power consumption went up by a few amps. So I start thinking dam I’ve got a bad pump or something. Thinking a pump was drawing more power and causing excess heat. I proceeded to start shutting each thing down on the eb8 down to see if I saw the change in amps. I really couldn’t see a big change in amps when shutting each outlet down. I’m a bit puzzled and figured eff it I’ll be home in like 4 hours I’ll shut everything down on that eb8 and just let the tank run off the pumps inside the tank for a few hours.
So an hour goes by and I open fusion to see what the tank temp is. I figured if the temp fell I’d just start the return for an hour or so to get some water movement in the sump. Well when I opened fusion I noticed the eb8 that had everything off on it still had amperage still running through it and it was erratic af. It then hit me what was happening.
Any guesses?
Well a outlet broke and is stuck in the circuit open.
Any guesses on witch circuit?
The effin heaters.
Dammit I plugged 2 300w heater into outlet number 3. I’m guessing the amperage was to much and cause the circuit to fail. I know better too but didn’t realized when programming the apex. I knew outlets 4&8 were the high amp outlets but didn’t even think about it. Dit dee dit dee.
Idk but I’m thinking my pH is really that high! Because while all this crap was happening I turned off the solenoid for the co2 and even the pH in the calcium reactor shoot sky high.
