Call me crazy but this guy looks nicer than the last. Best of luck with this one!

He does indeed. Bigger and better color. Although, his color varies in the tank. He doesn't turn deep red unless he's stressed. Really weird.

Anyhow, backstory for everyone else....the first earl's died of some kind of mouth fungus. I was able to get my money back and I bought another earl's from zoa collector. It spend two weeks in quarantine and then went in my tank. I didn't use an acclimation box and it started to get punked and didn't see it for days. After a few weeks of getting punked by my red velvet multicolor and labouti, it finally swam around d the water, column without being harassed anymore. It's one of the smaller wrasses in my tank so I didn't expect it to be messed with by the bigger ones. It's a very docile fish for a wrasse and needs a very peaceful tank to live in. It was also a huge financial gamble, but luckily, he's doing great now and I can safely say that this is the last fish I'll add to my tank until I upgrade to a bigger tank after graduate school. It'd be too much of a gamble adding anything else.

How did it die? Any obvious signs of a parasite or a disease?

He was stung in the eye by a bristleworm and then just hid under a rock for a few weeks where I couldn't catch him and today I found him stuck on the overflow.
