Sick!!!!

Point of advice to everyone demand the LFSto feed the fish that your buying.

Is the tummy shrunk and is he hiding?

Is he being bullied?

Try nori in a clip or red leaf lettuce.

his tummy is shrunk and he is hiding but none of the other fish are messing with him at all. I also just noticed some darker spots on my silver tang. I will be taking a water sample to the store in the morning. I also noticed a yellowish darker collored growth on the top of the sand bed and against the glass that I have never seen before.

All of these may not be related. How long did you acclimate the fish before placing into your tank? I've noticed that some shops have their pH far different than my own tank so moving a fish without acclimating could cause pH shock under those circumstances. Also it has been my experience that newly purchased fish who do not eat within the first day rarely survive long. I never buy fish anymore unless the shop shows me the fish eating. Kole (yellow eye) tangs need established live rock with some algae growth for feeding, unless the fish has already taken to eating prepared foods.

I checked the PH before I went to work this morning and it said to add PH minus so I will pick some up from the store on the way home. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried adding vinegar to bring the PH down or will that have adverse affects to the fish and corals.

i would get an actual ph reading using dif test kit
needs to be at least 8.0, higher than 8.4 could be stressful but shouldn't be an issue
I would also check your dkh ,try to keep at least 8
hope that helps
