Been putting a lot of time into this tank lately. Had a bunch of goblins fire zoas taking over so I pulled a bunch of rock out and rescaped the rock a bit. Was able to isolate the remaining goblins fire into one island of rocks. So at least they won’t take over the whole rock work this time. Also dont know where my sand is going but added a bunch from my garage tank this morning as the sand bed was looking thin. Will be on cruise control for a while now I hope.

Snapped a few pictures since I have not had a top down look in a while. The kids also enjoyed the view.

My CSB also wandered a few weeks ago. So now it’s living in a box. I already glued my torch garden back where it used to be before the nem decided to take over that spot. It’s actually one of my favorite things in the tank and I really don’t want to get rid of it.

Also took the time this weekend to give the sump, skimmer, and pump a good cleaning. Installed my 2nd doser that I scored for $40 on eBay!! No more manually dosing po4. I have 2 open channels, not sure if I want to do no2 and acropower or TM A+k. Unfortunately was sent different dosing containers that don’t match so will be on hold for now. OCD at its finest

Finally happy with this tank again. Lots of trimming, cementing rocks, and glueing corals the last couple months. Done getting my hands wet for a while. Time to put in work for the car now.

Blastos would have been bigger but dang jawbreakers keep coming to kill them. And yes Bahama mama. It’s kind of stalled in growth not sure if its due to bottomed nutrients or it’s mad that I moved it.

My entire time reefing, I associated nitrates and phosphates as a negative. Not until recently I’ve actually tested and tried to keep them up. So let’s see if I get bring some better colors out of things.

Nutrients aren't the enemy in most situations and often times are the answer to many issues. I believe people were trying to achieve NSW levels, which don't really apply with home aquaria.

Tank is looking clean. Love the groot and the hair. LOL.

I made a small millenium falcon with e-marco cement and it's in my tank. Like a bonus easter egg for people to find.

Who would have thought phosphate were so important, less than a week and I don’t think I’ve seen my tank this happy in a long time. Po4 is stable at .14 dosing 6cc/day. Thats about the only change I’ve made so I’m confident that’s what is doing it.

Couple new pieces I picked up from crystal corals. Atomic sunrise and a couple of booger OG bounces. Did not realize they were going to be so small until I made the trek out there but I do enjoy watching things grow anyways.

Also a cherry bomb that died decided to come back so it’ll be fun to see how it turns out

This twisted sister was once my least favorite piece but now it’s starting to develop some color. It really did take a beating for a really long time from my CSB.

I thought this starfish was a goner, it didn’t move for 3 days when I put it in. Now it’s all over the place and looks really good. Been about a month, hopefully will last but I know less than a year is what we get in home aquariums

What was the Phosphates before?

I've dropped my phosphates, but I think some of my corals are not happy. The JF solar flare you gave me...it's turning white bro!

Nice! If I haven’t mentioned it before, I think PO4 sweet spot is 0.1 - 0.2ppm, so I think you’re in the sweet spot now.

.01-.06. Kind of all over. Was manually dosing 10ml every other day. Mines not happy either. Probably cause I moved it or maybe it likes the bottomed out po4.
