Hey guys, I’ve had this flameback for about a little under a month, and he’s started to nip on some of the sps pieces.. such as bubble gum digi’s and other polyp-y corals. Any ideas what to do?

Feed more. Sometimes that helps but if he developed a taste for corals, you might have to evict him.

He’s definitely enjoying the digitata, and another no name sps piece I’ve got in there, it’s caused the sps to stop polyp extension. The digi not doing so hot either.. don’t see him nipping at anything else though and I’ve began feeding more.. but it’s causing more algae haha

Yeah. That's one of the unfortunate side effects. You can try sumping him for a while so the sps can recover

Matt told me to watch this video and it was super informative on the matter. I am a huge angel and butterfly fan. Its crazy that it could just be nipping certain corals because they are in the way of its swim pattern!
they’re so worth a little lacking polyp extension! Or the occasional coral that just gets in the way.. lol

Haha alright I’ll watch it here soon.. I fed him quite a bit today and he hasn’t gone after the corals. Maybe he was just hungry
