Well tank caught its first std. Desire to go a natural predator route. Possum wrasse, psychedelic mandarin, any other recs? Large, demon summoning fish need not apply.

My 6 line does damage to flatworms. All he does is look for them. I got it bad until I introduced him.

You didn't practice protection? :ROFLMAO:

What kind of flatworms? White or Red?

I think my springeri damsel eats flatworms, but he is pretty bold. He pecks at my hand when I get near "his" cave. Either that or I can mix you up one of my special "trust me bro" potions to get rid of it. Money back guarantee!

I saw a study a little bit ago where peppermint shrimp were found to feed on flatworms. I had the little harmless acoel flatworms in one of my tanks so, I figured why not give it a shot? There were hundreds of acoel flatworms on the glass. I put 3 peppermint shrimp in there and 2 days later couldn't find any FW at all. I left the shrimps in there for another month afterwards to make sure they finished the job, then I passed them on to a fellow hobbiest. I haven't seen any flatworms since. YMMV, it may be worth a shot though.

I believe there was good research on this, but it wa AA very specific peppermint and they only had flatworms for food. They are lik 90% of them and eggs

+1 for Six Line Wrasse. I got one in each tank (except the new tank) for disease control. I hate damsels (sorry) since I don’t want to swear every time I dip my hand in the water! Ha

Six lines are fun inquisitive boogers. Sounds like a good route.
Jimbo- rust colored variety.
Okay, so rust body with a red dot or tail, right? Those multiply fast.

Better siphoning them out to keep them in check until you find your solution. Their body fluids are toxic. Run some carbon.

I've always had great luck with spotted mandarins for fw control. You have a nano, so that 6 line is only going to last there for a while until it decides I want to kill everyone. Although, I had a 6 line in the 90's who was a model citizen in one of my nano tanks. But I got it when it was pretty damn small. I do have some kuekenthal shrimp if you want to try one?

Or just take the fish/inverts/corals out in temp container and hit nano with some FWE. Be done with it and move on.

I've been dealing with red planaria for quite some time now. I have a six line and melanurus wrasse, neither of them touch the flatworms...

I've had to resort to the chemical route to manage. I should give a mandarin a try, maybe after I catch my melanurus.

Just nuke everything and get a 300 gallon tank already
Well if one of my spawn decides that education is not for them or i realize they have their father's genetics i will blow through their college funds and go 500 gallons. Ha!!
