I noticed that a mini colony of Oregon Tort had this white spot all over the place, comparing it with google images looks like my tank or at least this sps frag is infested with flatworms.
Can someone recommend me any dip medication or any tip to deal with this issue, any advice will be appreciated

I use Bayer insect killer as a coral dip. But from what I’ve read the new formula fonts work like the old stuff. I still have half a bottle of the old formula tho.

Aefw’s are no joke. If the frag is infested then most likely they have moved to other sps in the tank.
So I’m going to say most likely you catch the reef aids unfortunately.
Ok for treatment. Cut any coral off the rock and dip all sps. No need to dip montis or digis. This is going to be a hard road because you will need to dip every sps once a week for the next 6 to 8 weeks. Dipping only kills the aefw once it’s hatched. Dipping does not kill the eggs. So basically your killing the hatched aefw’s and continues dipping to kill them after they have hatched from the egg. I’m currently in the process of eliminating aefw’s too. Not from my main tank but a friend bought a tank last week and the seller gave my friend a bunch of corals that were infested with pests. So I set up my frag tank as a hospital tank for all my buddies sps.
Here’s the infected sps

Thanks Emac909, i will start this procedure ASAP, just one more question what will be the ratio of saltwater to bayer?

This reefer said to buy specific this one and he was mixing 10ml of bayer to 4oz of water.
On the other hand most of my sps are just frags and they are still in 1 1/12 in square tiles, so i will be able to treat all of them at once.

So I don’t really measure the amount of water to bayer. I have a large bowl that is about a gallon. I mix 3 cap fulls into the water. I then use a turkey baster. To blast off the aefw. I let the corals dip for 6 min while I blast each coral with the baster. You will need to do multiple dippings. Jose says dipping every 3 days. But I’ve had success on eliminating aefw with dipping once a week and taking a scalpel and scrapping off egg.

No lie it’s not a fun process and don’t be surprised if you loss half. Also your colors are going to look like trash for the next 3 months. But in the end you’ll be happy you got cleared of reef aids.

I'm just curious, had you been buying tank raised frags or Wild / Mari cultured colonies?

How stocked is your tank?
