The price is lowered to 600$ for everything. The camera itself, kit lens, 50mm f1.8 lens, a Denali carry bag that fits the dslr and a extra lens, 2 gig memory card, all original packaging/paperwork. Trying to get this sold by this week.

If anybody has any interesting trade offers let me know. I'm thinking about setting up/redoing my current nano reef. Maybe we can work something out.

In an effort to get this sold, and in response to people criticizing my price, I've compiled a price list for everything thats included. This is a response post I made to someone else on another forum who showed me a great deal on the d40. I'm just copying and pasting my response from the other forum.

"Thats a great deal, pick it up. Just went on the dell site, and theres a 10% off sale bringing the price down to 539.10. Free 3-5 day shipping. I don't see the option for "pay with paypal, lower the price even more". Then you can add on the OCZ SD Hi-Speed 133x 2gb memory card, which is 63.80, bringing it up to $602.90.(I searched for the price for this sd card on Froogle.com to get you the best price possible on it). Tack on the price of the Nikkor 50mm f1.8(I'm pricing this lens from BHphotovideo.com, reputable online dealer) for 114.95 plus 4.95 shipping bringing the price up to $722.80. Then you can add on 30$ for the denali carry bag, carries the dslr + 1 lens bringing the total to $752.80.

Here are the links to my "price check" so you can verify the cost of everything. (In case you don't believe me) I tried to find the best prices possible for each item, and also from reputable sites.

I think my price is fair, seeing that the camera itself is practically new. Operates flawlessly and has had very few actuations. Anybody interested can check out the camera in person and test it out.

Bump this thread up.

Haha, in my experience, cameras/dslrs/dslr bodies hold their value relatively well. I'm on multiple photography forums/car forums/fish forums and I also check craigslist quite often.

Many Nikon/Canon dslrs are rated for around 100,000 actuations. Comparing that to how many shots this camera has been through, it is relatively new, and just starting to break in.

The ability to pay with paypal and get the discount does exist, you just need to click the box that says pay with paypal to get the price of $485.19. Your lens sells for $110.90 after shipping. Tack on the bag and the over-rated 133x sd memory card for $63.80 + $30~ and you still end up with it being around $700 bucks. IMO, I'd pay an extra 100 dollars to get everything brand new with a warranty that is up to date, but that's just me.

$600 is still a decent price though. I just think people should know what the realistic price is for the things that they are buying.
