What conditions do I need for a garf bonsai to grow? I'm running a very mixed reef right now. Only one acro that's persisting. Stylo/birdsnest/montis growing like crazy.

The garf bonsai was my first acro after having good success with montipora caps and digitata. I started with a 1" frag that has grown rapidly over the course of a few years. I've always had it in the top third of whatever tank it's been in, so high PAR and high flow. In my precedessor tank, I relied on two part of calcium/alkalinity supplementation and wasn't always diligent about replenishing it, so it has endured swings in major elements without problem. But at the end of the day, it's still an acropora and thus is a bit more demanding than montipora, etc.

Candidly, if you're having good success with stylo's, birdsnests and montipora, the garf is a good starter acro.

Don't mind trying one out then! I'm 92693 and to and from Irvine for work, where my tank is. Possible to pick up in the AM on the way to work?

Sure, I'm home most days in the mornings. Please PM me to figure out a time/day that works for you.

Thank you for the exceptional frags! Everyone else, highly recommended. Beautiful tanks and a lot of care taken for his inhabitants.

Thanks for the great frags Matt!

Awesome tanks and the generous frags are still doing well. Looking forward to grabbing more in the near future.
