Expending total system with a frag tank, think I'm gonna take down my IM20 and put for sale. Plus I got a new toy this sunday, did not realize it was a ATO also, so will need to setup this week and test. This will help take time off my hand during wc.

any updates with the CSB nem?? Are those hard to keep compared to normal RBTAs?
I have it high in the tank since clown is hosting it. I'm a bit scared of it roam the tank since I got a lots of SPS. Well, as far as I know their a bit more delicate then RBTA, and cannot be host with other type of nem.

Ok, Happy New year. Been neglecting the tank since my kaomer waterchange broke down, and it's a PITA to do water changes.

So for New year, I clean up my tank, dose some Reef HD to kill some Algae. Pretty much all my SPS but 1 is alive. Most of my Zoa is dead. Both hammer survived......... My shroom survive, and so did the chalices. Surprisingly only my 2 wrasses and midas benny survived with 2 week feed once habits. Also CSB lived!!!!!!!!

you only feed once every 2 weeks?
IDK, the fish seem pretty fat, I do have bunch of pods in it.
What happened to the Kamoer X2s? I thought they were a solid unit?
No, the motor would stall after maybe 300 gallon of water change. Send back to Coralvaule, and Kamoer wouldn't reply. So about a month after, I just ask for a refund since I'm not getting a answer from corvalue or kamoer.

For your zoas- I noticed a huge improvement with all my zoas once I began dosing iodine. I only does half recommend dose and only half as often as instructions say. They all began to flourish after.

I'm having red cyno, right now. Which killed my GMK / Hallucinations colony. Dosing Reef HD right now which seem to work quit good. I'll try Iodine once I get more zoa this year, but right now just focusing on bring the tank back to normal.

Also gonna be adding some new rock I had sunbath after a week from bleach.

My CSB just turn orang / reddish, with tip a little yellow. Should I switch to LED for lights? Have not change my T5 bulb for over a year now.

a Update for the frag tank on Chalice and OG Bounce. I'm planning to shut down the tank probably this month or next month. I don't have much time as before since need to take care of the kid.

So GHA took over, been super lazy. Just started to clean up again. Barely any growth, and look like Green Chalice is dying due to move to main display. I'm actually thinking of shutting these tank down, and move them to 2 300 gallon Rubber maid as a reef pond, much cheaper than buying another tank and wood setup. Ace hardware has them for $300 each and deliver.

So, I just realize how gigantic these things are. Only have room for 1 for now. Think I'll get a 150 stock bin for sump later on. Can't find the right size bulk head, with 11/4 won't event fit also. So I just silicon hell out of it. Water test this weekend.

I got to be honest, silicone doesn’t work like that. The thicker the bead doesn’t mean better the seal. In reality it’s made to be used at a certain thickness and going over that thickness makes the bond weaker. Let’s take this basic, look at the calking around your tubs, showers, windows. The carpenters put a small bead down then use a tool or finger to remove the excess. They don’t put a big bead and leave to cause it’s going to provide a better seal, it actually weakens the seal.
Also silicone isn’t a compounds that bonds well to plastics. It will hold for a water test, yes but long term it’s not the best. Anyone that has used silicone on an acrylic sump can tell you about a year or so later the seal fails. The silicone eventually pills off the plastic. Do you really want to deal with a leak in a year or so.

What material is the bin make of?

From their site it's "Constructed from molded polyethylene." I'm not looking for long term since I know I will be moving probably in a year or so. I need something to consolidate into, also when the tank chiller kick on during summer it'll trip the breaker, so I'm trying to have less running in that old home. Just need something to hold it till we move.
