My Tank Build
#1
So let’s talk heaters. I’m just a little curious on what people are running, how many, and watts.
Describe your setup (how many gallons, type of aquarium) when say how many and watts in heater you using.

My setup is 150g but I’d say I’m close to 165g in total water between tank and sump.
I’m running 2 heaters. One is a 300w and it’s run off the aquacontroller. The other is a 100w and it plugged right into the wall and runs off the temp control of the heater it’s self. The 100w is my backup and set at 76*. I have it plugged into the wall just in case the outlet on the dc8 goes out.
I’m thinking of switching the 100w out for a 300w tho and using the 100w along the side of the 300w that is running on the aqua controller.

Oooh! I'll play! Zero heaters as of almost 6 months ago. And now running the tanks at a nice warm 80 degrees, instead of the usual 74-76 during winter time in hopes of saving power.

2500 gallon system roughly across 12 tanks, and a sump system consisting of 8 interconnected tanks. 4 zones, but all sharing same water. Equivalent to 30,000+ watts of electric heaters using a maximum of less than 100 watts total power.
