Helfrichi Firefish?

Would a Helfrichi Firefish get along with a lone red firefish?
I keep being told by my LFS that my red needs a buddy and they will get along, but they may just be trying to make a buck...

i dont think id buy helfrichis again...they are a pretty fish though...i had 7 at one time & after a while they were all gone :hmmmm:

you can only have one, or a pair of firefish...


my lfs sells red ones for 5 bucks... one time i took home like ten of them... utter chaos indeed...

Wel I see I am not the only one with similar experiences.

With firefish, I usually recommend buying three. Two will almost always pair up happily and be friends, as soon as that happes take the loner third one out.

I have and I have ended up with one in many occasions. Will never try it again.
