Hello All! My wife and I moved here a couple months ago from Minnesota. I'm a reef addict. I miss my old tanks, but hopefully my new ones will be rocking in no time... My current setups are a 12g and a 40br

12g nano-cube dx
trimless
aqua-c remora skimmer
JBJ ATOw/sp3000 pump
ACjr
150w viper(added moonlight)
mj1200 return
koralia nano dremmeled into 1st chamber

40br barebottom
4xT5HO on an IC 660 w/individual reflectors
moonlights
koralia 4, 3 and 1
maxi-mod on an mj900
turbo-flotor
~10g fuge
Tsunami ATO w/aqualifter
Acjr
no pics yet

livestock is minimal as cycling just finished, but I'm getting a (hopefully) killer care package from the club back home. Once things get going, I'll start tank threads for both of my setups.

Welcome to the site... You picked a good city to move to. Most of the good lfs are in your proximity :)

Btw, that pretty cool how you dremmeled that k-nano into the first chamber. It makes it look like part of the tank, instead of an eye sore in a small tank... You'll find a lot of good people here on socalireefs who are willing to lend a hand when you need it. :)

The nano is the only koralia that works for that mod; the back half is just the motor. Anyway, I'm all about mods/DIY. I'm actually kinda sad I didn't do a DIY halide for this tank, but I got a good deal on the viper. Who knows, I may still do one--I HATE the reflector in that fixture.

I've been to several LFS; most of them seem pretty sweet. I've yet to pick my "one," but maybe I don't have to...

I'm still missing tcmas, we had a great group of reefers around the twin cities. I'm sure I'll settle in here, but it'll take a bit, just like everything in this hobby...
