Currently a little of both! I do 30% water changes on Sundays and dose microbe-lift all in one, complete, and trace elements. Currently dealing with high N&P so recently started getting into phytoplankton to help. Considering Caulerpa Macro Algae for the sand bed.
I would highly advise against caulerpa in the display, partially because it’s it’s so invasive that you’ll never be able to remove it 100% and it will take over, and also because some Calurpa species are also illegal in CA due to how invasive it is! I would recommend a dedicated refugium with chaeto or other macroalgaes

These were the readings last week. I dosed afterwards
What are you checking salinity with? Highly unlikely your SG dropped by 0.003 in one week unless you did a water change and messed up the salinity of new water. Keeping salinity stable is the first step to keeping the rest of your minerals in check.

U're absolutely correct! So I had to recalibrate my refactor reader cuz something felt off. I used distilled water and it was showing I was off by .003

Unfortunately this is an aio. Right now i have a diy refugium with chaeto but I don't think it's having any effect. Next option would be red pom pom and dragons breath and work it into the scape

Yikes! Your parameters are all over the map. Softies don’t mind but any SPS frags you put in there will likely complain / perish.

My recommendation is to try to stabilize Alk and def reduce nitrate. Also, I would stop dosing and let things settle…
Ehh, 10.5 DKH is definitely on the high side but if I could keep mine at 10.0 I probably would. 390 CA is a bit low, the real monster hiding under the bed is 990 MG. It won’t bother the SPS directly but the effect on CA/ALC can be quite the problem. Get that MG up to >1,200

Cool. Agree that you need to bring Mg up to 1300+. It keeps Alk/Ca in check.
10 dKH is fine for what you’re keeping but I like things around 8ish for safety.
Keep us updated on progress.
