Any veteran reefer out there can give me steps or guidance doing this tank transfer.

I plan to get a new RS reefer 350 and transfer my LR, corals, 5 fishies and old equipments into the new RS tank. I want to use new live sand as well.

Never done a tank transfer and prefer not
To lose any livestock.

Cycling issue? Rinse my new live sand or not? Ect

Thanks

Rinse new sand if you don’t want to make it super cloudy. Move all the water over with rocks minimize leaving rocks exposure outside for too long. If you didn’t set it up yet you can always put rocks with circulation and same tank water in a plastic bin until your ready to move stuff or get plumbing or new tank in place. Don’t use the old sand. Also make sure temp and alk and any ammonia hasn’t spiked and remain close to what your levels should be , Also if you see sponges/tunicates scrub those off the rocks to minimize die off releasing stuff. reuse same tank water and make sure you have heat and flow. Also should seed live rock or those bio media.
