Can I put a faucet splitter on the water tap that feeds the washer and hook my RO/DI unti to one end of the splitter?

I'm not sure if that water would be any different or if the pressure would be weird? Trying to get the unit set up in the garage and that is the closest water source.

LMK what you think?

I think it would be ok. I hook mine up to the washer faucet and it's fine. I can't fit a splitter so I had to use a quick disconect for it. Sucks for me.

You loose all your pressure while it's filling. Lower input pressure decreases the efficiency of your RO membrane.

you can get a nice splitter. i did this and then got an adapter to a JG fitting from MD. I am thinking about getting a boost pump though... just to level out performance.

I had the plumber put the pressure regulator past my front yard faucet. That way I get maximum pressure for making water. Before the pressure dropped while doing laundry etc..
