I would hardly call that a bio-load. The YT is the only one that's really going to produce any waste compared to the others.

I still don't see an issue with that fish count. As long as you have a healthy biological filter (good live rock and sand) and an efficient skimmer, I wouldn't worry. An issues with elevated nutrients?

12 fish is 12 fish. The small ones will grow. You need to stock based on final size, not current size.

Depending on the type of blenny you have it might be advantageous to add something that will help with sand cleaning.

I agree about the starfish, but for other reasons. These guys are great at moving stuff around the sand, but they eat all of the beneficial micro fauna that help keep the sand bed alive and active. If you want a starfish, wait a year or so and add a healthy linckia.

That is actually the same reason. In order to keep them alive and the sand bed healthy long term, you need a much larger volume of sand than a 4x2 footprint will provide.

Correct, I think the common misconception with these stars is that they “clean” the sand, which is partially true, but what they are “cleaning” are the good guys you want to keep.

yea, just make sure you have the very best and sufficient clean up crew. just like a full house, you need some good cleaners to clean. there was some you can make a bulk buy for clean up crew, which is the best option to chip in and buy in bulk!

I would also keep an eye on that 6 line wrasse. They are great fish to watch, but the two that I kept both went rouge suddenly and started killing off their tank mates, even fish much larger like tangs.
