How Much Watts & Kelvins for 300g Tank

I was wondering on what kind lighting, watts, and kelvins I am going to need for my 300g tank? I am down to my last two item, lighting, and skimmer. can someone tell me how much watts, and kelvins for a MH, I was thinking 4x250w 20,000k or 2x400w 20,000k whats your opinion?:hello:

IMO id only run 20k if ur not gonna have any actinics or T5s for the blues

they typical rule of thumb is a halide for every 2 square feet. With those dimensions, I'd say 4x250s would be a good shot. The 20k radium is a great 250w SE bulb, but needs to be replaced often. For DE, I'd go phoenix 14k. What kind of coral do you want to keep?

All kinds of coral! Mainly LPS, I was wondering about putting 2x400w 14,000k what do you guy's think?

Go with the 250w the more wattage is for penetration on deeper tanks. 14k will work well hth. The key sill be on the reflector to get the spread.
