you gotta cut at the foot (c), then rubberband the foot to a piece of rubble. or if you can, scrape the foot off the rock and superglue it to a rubble. you can only superglue it if there is some rough spots on the foot, because they get really slimmy and superglue won't take at the foot.

best way though, is to take some bigger pieces of rubble and place it next to the stalks. they will naturally attach themselves onto the rock and you can give those away! :)

btw, if you cut the foot and leave some flesh on the rock (c) right where you have the yellow line, it will regrow a new head in a week or so...

using super glue is a hit and miss. Your best bet is to get to cut it at the red line and tie the frag to a piece of rubble rock with some fishing line. Leave it alone in the bottom of your tank and in a few days you can remove the fishing line and your done. The ammount you frag to give away is up to you, I mean xenia grows really fast for some folks so you could have a waining list of peeps waiting for frags.

I warned you it would be a curse. :aetsch: What I did is exactly what newnanoboy recommended. I would put a plug or rock rubble next the the stalk and let it attach and then chop it off. I wouldn't care what size because it would grow so fast.

Does anyone have a link or picture of how do use the rubberband method to attach the trimmings? Can't seem to do it correctly. Xenias shrink and expand so much that it keeps getting loose.
