But Mh is a better overall light and you'd probably be more satisfied. Plus you can take the light around to other tanks and bigger prop tanks which you probably would move up to anyways. But if you wanted to go with the same type of lighting as your other then you shold just go with the other.

If getting the nano with t-5 is cheaper than getting the metal halide I would get the new nano. I am very happy with my t-5 lighting and I never was with halides. I do not want this thread to get into another halide vs t-5 fight. JMO

Oh yeah!!!! Well my metal halide can blind you faster oh what now lol. Jk. T5s are cool. I just dont have a big enough tank to fit enough T5s on for it to equal a couple MH's. Plus i like the growth.

I get excellent growth and less energy usage than a couple of halides. I am still searching for the right bulb combination.

I love my Mh, But would love a slick t5 setup, less heat and energy. Temec if the t5 and nano setup is cheaper, get it.

im down with the MH, hes going with a 70 watt MH i believe because its a 12g, and 150 might be over kill? im not sure if 12.5 watts per gallon is really OK. he might get issues there wont he? Im not an expert but i dont think that is ok?
Someone correct me if im wrong
