I saw some reef safe ich medications online but not sure if I should use it...I'm thinking of removing the fishes that are infected

i wouldnt go to drastic measures yet...I would just medicate their food in garlic and keep the fish as stress free as possible..

I have had plenty of fish covered in ich but if the fish have been eating well and are hardy they should be fine. I didn't put any treatment in my tank nor did I dip or remove any fish. One thing that I have noticed was the advice to raise my temperature a lil to about 81-82 really helps speed up the process. This is what I have learned through my experience but I know every case is different. I have not loss any fish due to ich but can assure u every fish that had ich looked like they were covered in sugar and now they're all completly healthy. Good luck

drain mysid cubes, add a 5 drops of garlic extract per cube (i use brightwells). let it sit for 5 mins then feed.

Both times I had a ich outbreak from introduction of new fish, i just fed flakes 2x a day + garlic mysids 2x a day. within about 2 weeks the spots are gone. never lost a single fish yet. as long as the fishy are healthy and eating they should be fine

There is no real way to get rid of ich except take all the fish out of the tank and let it sit fish less for 3-4 months, and treat the fish with hyposalinty for about a month. After that, you cannot add another fish for 6months that could carry a new strand of ick that would start the cycle all over again.

Even if you dont see the actually white spots (cysts) does not mean you dont have ich in your tank, or that fish without the spots dont have ich cuz they probably due.

I know its the last thing you want to hear but there is no medication that can scientifically kill or rid your tank of ich... TRUST ME i have tried. Your best bet to truly cure your tank is to leave it fish less and treat your fish in a QT with Copper or Hyposalinity.

I have a lot of information collected about this topic, as I have had a problem with it due to a stupid mistake on my part.

Best of luck and I hope your fish are alright!
