You have a bigger HOB filter, how big is the tank?

I have a 20 Long but i have my fish currently in Quarantine until my main tank is ready. So i kind of need that filter running on them

i also have a 10 gallon that i plan on setting up for Coral Quarantine as well.

That's an awesome offer Christian and thank you!

I just want to point out that you really should be treating all the fish in your tank, even the ones that aren't showing symptoms. Those fish probably have a slightly stronger immune system/tolerance for the parasite but will continue to host ICH until the PBT and clownfish are returned to the display. You'll more than likely deal with the whole situation again at that point, specifically with the PBT. How many fish are in your display right now?

I Totally agree eventually all your fish will get it. Especially when ICH takes hold in the sand and starts to incubate that will be extremely bad for all of your fish. Its just a mater of time. Does your clown show any cloudy eyes or color looking faded ?

PBT is not going back in Im rehoming n get a nice stick. My girl got it thinking it would fit in. Unfortunately this 10 gal is to small. Ive done it this way before n only treat the sick. My other fish have a good slime coat

I have a Clown fish, Midas blenny, purple fire, firehawk, royal grams, twin spot goby. Ive had for almost 3 years.

The ones with ich are PBT n my new clownfish. They eat mysis. From my research ich is in every system n only develops on those who are stressed with thin slime coat. PBT was fine till I stressed him out when i added sand to tank n re did rock work since then his been developing it n hoped he beat it but now I had to take action. Fish are in QT as we speak

It'll probably work out as long as nothing stresses the system.

You are right ich is present in every system that has not QTd fish/coral from the beginning or has pulled fish to QT and gone fallow for the 76 day period. That's all I was pointing out if you want to truly get rid of it it is possible but kinda a pain in the arse

The good thing is you got the ones out I also had a PBT before but they stress so easily and that was the same reason i got it before as well. Needless to say I lost around 12 fish in two days from ICH and not being smart enough to put all new fish especially Tangs in QT first. How big is the filter your putting on your 10 gallon?

One question if I put some of my live rock rubble in the hob in qt with copper would kill the bacteria in the rock right

Yes and that live rock will be useless afterward as it will eventually leak copper in your main display and kill your inverts if any not to mention your water chemistry. Keep it simple

Its rubble from sump I would never put it back in. I remember I put a piece a long long time ago in a QT n a slime ball came out of the piece of LR lol I guess water changes will have to do lol

For copper I did
1 fluid oz = 29.5ml for 20g so I did 15 ml for 10g. Sound right?

you can have a cycled tank treated with copper if there's enough rubble rock. But like mentioned above, shouldn't go back in the tank.
