Has anyone had success running the glow or grow AI blades? If so which one and what’s the pros and cons of using them.

I’m just getting back into the hobby and I’m shopping for the right light for my nano build.

My new build is a UNS 60SA

I run the white and blue on my tiny tank. Par is fine as I checked with an apogee meter. They work and no fans which is a nice lack of a feature. Mixed tank is growing.

What are the dimensions? I personally don’t like blades as their spectrum offerings are very narrow and you have to combine both just to get a decent spectrum. I think there are plenty of great, affordable fixtures out there that I would choose over the big boys.

As for optimal growth, I feel nothing beats MH. General look and function is on par with others. Good thing is we have many options these days. Find your flavor and or, experiment with as many lights you can get your hand on.

I think most use them as supplementation. It looks like competition has presented many lighting options for good value.

Tunze eco chic marine LED might be an option? Roger mentioned that they are coming out with an updated version that gives you spectrum control. The cool thing about these lights are the fact that they are completely submersible.

I run grows with xr30 gen4's. I love that combo. But as Jose says it is a nice fill light to eliminate shadows

I run three blades over a frag tank. The coverage is a nice blanket and soft like t5s. The coral color isn't as good as my main display with different lights. I agree with the most common use for blades being fill light.
