It's my husbands birthday comming up in September and he keeps dropping hints about a neptune junior ac somethig or other. It is supposed to be really cool and monitor your ph levels and stuff threw your computer. If any one can tell me where I can find one and how much they are I would really appreciate it. You want a neptune systems aquacontroller junior (acjr), be sure to get one with the serial port if he wants to hook it up to a computer

You will need to get a package deal with an acjr controller (with serial port!), dc8 (controlled power outlet; acjr is useless without it!) and a lab grade ph probe

I got the AC3 package 1 from SoCal Tropical Fish and I love it!!! If you husband wants to control pH and use the computer interface, I would recommend the AC3 package not the ACJR. The AC3 has the serial port, ethernet port, email notification, online modification, 2 pH ports (for controlling your calcium reactor, ORP or tank pH) etc... I agree, if your hubby is planning to have this hooked up to a computer so he can remotely monitor his tank you'll need the ac3. You also save $$ on the $40 worth of cables to hook the acjr to a computer since ac3 has a ethernet port (like a router). If he wants to hook it up just to program it and get readings periodically the jr will do
