Hello reef nerds and nerdets!

Any IE reefers wanting to see about getting meeting going again now that the status of the days environment has changed and opened up?

I’d like to get a decision going of maybe getting meetings for IEMAS going again.

Anyone interested?

Maybe we can get a decision of possible locations, time, and day that will work for getting meetings going again.

Inland empire marine aquarium society.

It’s the local ie reef club. A few years back there were meeting the first Friday of every month at a ihop in Ontario. But do to lack of participation the club stopped holding meeting. I would like to see if we IE reefers can get meeting going again.

So one thing we need to discuss is if people are willing to show up to meeting.

Second thing is day, time, and location of meetings.

Working out a plan to have a meeting at the new reef lounge norco location.

Would this be a spot people would be willing to meet up at?

I’d like to let it be known that reef lounge is in no way affiliated with IEMAS. I’m in talks about getting a meeting going and what else would be a great way to get new people to show up to a meeting then to have it held at a new local fish store.

So I talked with a rep of RL yesterday. Officially they are not open yet but they have been having people come check them out. But the word I was given that they should officially be open this week or next.
I’ve been invited several time to come check out the shop but my work schedule has been a nightmare the last month.

So I’d like to see how people feel about doing meeting on Saturday morning around 10am. I know most clubs hold meetings on Friday night but there’s nothing worse then driving home on a Friday night at 9pm ish, in traffic, knowing you still have to get home and acclimate/dip corals.

I’d really like to see if we can do a few meeting at local shops every now and then.

Truly I’m not a total fan of doing all meeting at fish stores. It’s really had to get everyone’s attention and there’s no seating. Let’s be honest how many of us want to stand for an hour or two.

I’m on vacation this week. Tomorrow or Wednesday I’m going to roll out to corona, norco, Ontario and see if there any restaurants that wouldn’t mind hosting a meeting on one Saturday a month.
