I would like to place faces to names.... and talk to people that dont have a "glazed over" look about reef tanks!

I’m pretty far away - near LAX- but if it’s on a day I have time I would be interested as well- sounds fun!

So I talked with jimmy @ Reef Lounge norco on this past Saturday. He was perfectly fine with use having meetings at the shop he even has a designated area setup

I’d like to get to get peoples thought about day of week and time of meeting.
The old meeting times for IEMAS was the first Friday night at 7pm at a iHop in Ontario. Well sense traffic is a straight B word on Friday night and I work on Friday nights. I’d like to see your thoughts on doing meeting on a Saturday mid dayish. That would give a member time to get home dip/acclimate any corals or fish that they may have won in the raffle.

You know where the name boat came from. It’s what the repair man said to the ship owners. Break Out Another Thousand.
Oh, dear, dear child. That is a common misconception. Really a deception with the intention of getting people to buy B.O.A.T.S. The actual acronym is Bankruptcy On A Trailer.

I would love to get things up and running. I’m going out all my cards out on the table.

I put around $500 in my own money to get people to show up. But the last 2 meeting we got a total of 5 people showed up. It feels like if I wasn’t dropping $200-$300 on a raffle prize no one is willing to show up. I was hoping Saturday afternoons were going to be a great time for meetings, idk maybe I’m wrong.

Yes I understand free shit gets people to show up. But sorry to say but I wish IEMAS was as big as SCMAS so we can have great raffle prizes. I believe we would be stronger in numbers and participation could help build numbers.

I’m very open to ideas and suggestions

But can’t lie. I felt a bit of a failure when in the last meeting it was Art Plata and my self.
